Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane announced the filing of a lawsuit against a West Chester, Pennsylvania-based sports apparel company that alleges the company failed to deliver prepaid shirts that changed color in response to body heat. The alleged actions are in violation of the business’s Internet crowdfunding financing agreement with financial backers.
The office's Bureau of Consumer Protection filed the lawsuit against Radiate Athletics. The lawsuit also names Kenneth E. Crockett Jr., the company’s officer, as a defendant.
The lawsuit alleged the defendants raised funds through an Internet crowdfunding campaign, a popular practice in which a particular product or venture is financed by monetary contributions from a large group of people.
