I believe it was the Mayans who said 2012 would be the end of the weather making any sense. Or maybe it was Al Gore. Either way, it's been a funny few months temperature-wise, and the only thing we can count on is continued unpredictability. With a mild winter for most of the country so far, but expectations of a colder February and March ahead, it's not too late to prepare yourself. And the best place to start is your head.

Promo Marketing's Search has over 5,000 different headwear items, and we've combed the database for a few selections giving you cool, colder and coldest options for the rest of winter. Read on to check your head's preparedness, or look at our Search engine for more options for up top.

Cool: Keep a Cool Head
Whether the weather is cool or your hair just looks cool, the Chill Fleece Sport Headband from Staton Corporate & Casual is the hottest accessory for the situation. The the charcoal gray headband features two layers of 100 percent polyester fleece, black spandex binding and fits most head sizes. Fits most hair sizes, too.

Colder: Lend Me Your Earflaps
When you need a little more warmth to your wear, Heritage Sportswear's Flap Beanie with Fleece Lining has you covered. The 100 percent acrylic cap is lined with soft fleece to provide insulation, and includes earflaps for extra protection from the elements. The one-size-fits-most cap is available in black, dark gray and navy.

Coldest: Not All Ducks Migrate South
Sometimes you need to worry about how your headwear complements the rest of your outfit, and then sometimes you're in Chicago in January. When that happens, keeping warm comes first, and nothing does that better than The Aviator's Duck Down Hat from Hammacher Schlemmer. Insulated with duck down and lined with coyote fur, the water-repellent hat produces three times the warmth (and looks) as of synthetic fiber hats.

Bonus: Ho-Ho-Ho My God It's Cold Outside
The Plush Santa Hat from Source Abroad. Because if the big red guy wears one, it must be doing something right.
