Gildan Included in Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for Second Consecutive Year

Gildan Activewear Inc. recently announced that it has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for a second consecutive year, effective September 22, 2014. Gildan is the only North American company in the textiles, apparel and luxury goods industry-group to be included this year. The company believes that its corporate social responsibility initiatives create value for its various stakeholders, who have strong expectations relative to brands, especially in the apparel industry.
