In hopes of easing financial strains, in 2009 Gold Bond Inc. offered many distributors end quantity pricing for first column minimums. When distributors were called upon to ask if that move were truly beneficial, Gold Bond Inc. was surprised with the response.
Chase Thompson, vice president of sales for Gold Bond Inc., commented, “Although people were thankful to receive the price break, it quickly became apparent that price is not always the dominant factor our distributors consider when placing an order. Just as important are inventory levels, product quality and ease of doing business for them.”
