Hub Pen Announces Several Key Hires and Promotions

Hub Pen Company, the writing instrument supplier located in Braintree, Mass., has announced several hires across multiple departments this week. Sara Parmenter has joined the company as human resources manager, Ryan Patterson was hired for the company’s sales team and Lee Cullen was hired to fill the new position of sales and marketing coordinator. In addition, Hub Pen Company has promoted Anthony Abatzis to sales executive.

Parmenter has more than 15 years of professional experience in human resources. She will serve as a member of the management team, overseeing all aspects of human resources including talent management, compensation, employee benefits, and training. Parmenter will work with hiring managers to expand our employee base in the coming years and support employee growth. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island. Currently, Parmenter is pursuing her Bachelors in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University in New Hampshire. In addition, she has served on the Human Resources Board for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce in Quincy, Mass.

Patterson is a recent graduate of the University of of Rhode Island and holds a B.A. in Communications. Previously, he was a sales associate with Nissan in Great Neck, New York.

Cullen will assist with design and marketing solutions. Her responsibilities encompass creating flyers, email campaigns and other sales tools for Hub Pen Company and distributor partners. In addition, she will provide PR, social media and marketing support. Cullen’s preceding experience includes creative roles in publishing and retail. Cullen holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and a certificate in Website Design and Development from Quincy College in Massachusetts. She is an active volunteer and member of the New England Dressage Association (NEDA).

Abatzis joined the company in 2011 as sales support. In his new role as Sales Executive, he will continue to grow Hub Pen Company’s distributor base, strengthen our existing partnerships and further our commitment to provide the best customer service and support. He will manage several multiline reps and key accounts. Abatzis’ region encompasses Pennsylvania; New Jersey; New York; Washington, D.C.; Virginia; and Maryland.
