A Bar & Restaurant Rewards Program

Get the Flash Player to see this rotator.

A few weeks back my girlfriend picked up a neat promotional mug as part of a restaurant rewards program. I thought the mug and program might be of interest to you guys, so here's a real quick rundown:

A reward for signing up for the restaurant loyalty program, the mug is made from a light ceramic (see picture above). The mug is shaped like a beer stein since the restaurant in question for the local microbrewery, Iron Hill. The two other notable details about the mug is that it's handmade in the USA (!!!) and is dated with "2012," suggesting that, if the program continues, the brewery will be ordering new mugs every year.

Everyone who signs up for the program gets a mug they can take home. When they come into the restaurant, their drinks are served in a mug of the same design that the restaurant uses in-house.

The rewards program itself it uncomplicated. $25 to join, as you spend money at the restaurant you earn points that are put toward $25 dollar discounts.

That's more or less it! Pretty simple, but I thought the design was interesting and the overall idea of the program might be something that you could easily pitch to some of your bar or restaurant clients.

That's it for this week guys! Thanks for reading, and see you all in two weeks (Next Monday I'll be in Arkansas for a wedding. I've never been to Arkansas, so I'm pretty excited!)

Like my blog? Why not follow PM on Twitter or Facebook (or just me on RSS or LinkedIn) so you never miss a post? Thanks!
