BIC Group, parent company to BIC Advertising & Promotional Products, reported its 2013 first quarter results this week. The group as a whole reported sales of approximately $561 million, down 3.7 percent from same period in 2012. The BIC APP division saw net sales decreased 11.9 percent in that period.

Edgar Hernandez, currently the General Manager for Developing Markets, will assume leadership of BIC APP on January 2, 2013. To assist in the transition, Nicolas will remain in a consulting capacity through March 2013, primarily focused on the European business.

Norwood & BIC Graphic recently announced all standard production times, including BIC Graphic's free 24-hour service, have been reinstated. The organization is back to business as usual and ready to prove it—if an order ships late, the distributor will receive $25 towards their next order for either Norwood or BIC Graphic products.
"We are confident we can deliver and we're ready to prove it," said Rob Babb, vice president of sales. "We are completely back to standard lead times as well as 24-Hour service on hundreds of products."
BIC Group today reported its nine-month sales results for 2012. For the period ended in October, the company posted a 4 percent net sales increase on a comparative basis. Net income was up 15.8 percent at 213.0 million euros ($276.3 million).
For the third quarter of 2012, BIC's net sales were up 4.4 percent at 488.8 million euros, compared to 468.2 million euros in 2011. While net sales were down slightly at constant currencies, the company indicated net sales were up 0.5 percent on a comparative basis.
