A.H. Belo Corp. has purchased a majority ownership stake in three Dallas-based marketing companies for $15.3 million as part of the publishing company's ongoing push to diversify.
The three companies—Distribion, MarketingFX and Vertical Nerve—are run by local entrepreneur Tim Storer, who will remain in his current role of CEO. The companies will become part of A.H. Belo's newly formed DMV Digital Holdings Co.
The acquisition is another step in Belo's push to diversify its revenue sources.
