Behold the Dietz & Watson Hoagie Holder, the Ultimate Summer Promo

Here in the Northeast, especially in Philadelphia, we're serious about our sandwiches. Specifically, our hoagies (or "subs" or "heroes" depending on where you're from).

We also love going "down the shore" during the summer. Sometimes we even take a hoagie with us to the beach. But, no one wants their sandwich to get sandy in a literal way.

Thankfully, the heroes at Dietz & Watson just added a pretty smart specialty item to their online store: the Hoagie Holder.

The waterproof holder comes in two colors (pink and blue), and features the words "Hoagie Holder" in giant letters on the side, along with the Dietz & Watson logo. It's a lot like those floating, waterproof protective cases for smartphones, only it's for your hoagie.

Here's the real genius of this: It fits any sandwich, so you could go to Wawa or your local or deli or even make one at home, but as soon as you start using this case, it becomes a Dietz & Watson hoagie. That's brand awareness and logo placement on products that might normally not even be related to Dietz & Watson.

It's also a great example of creating a product that pertains directly to the company's main product line (deli meat) in a useful, fun and original way. It goes far beyond things just like stickers, T-shirts or hats (which are also available in Dietz & Watson's store), but this is the kind of product that beach-goers or picnickers might hold onto for the rest of their lives and not leave home without.

We've seen some great summer promos in 2022, one of which we already crowned the Promo of the Summer. The Hoagie Holder might prove that our proclamation was a bit too early.
