BIC Graphic Announces ISO 14001 Certification, Demonstrates Ongoing Commitment to Protecting the Environment
BIC Graphic, Clearwater, Fla., recently announced its Sleepy Eye Publishing facility has earned ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Certification. The Sleepy Eye facility also received ISO 9001 certification in 2012.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Certification requires the completion of rigorous internal and external audits as well as ongoing maintenance audits to ensure continued compliance. The primary principles include pollution prevention, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, continual improvement, awareness and involvement of work force. With the successful certification of BIC Graphic in Sleepy Eye, 80 percent of BIC Corporation associates around the world work in ISO 14001 certified factories.

BIC Graphic's Writing Instruments facility in Clearwater, Florida received its ISO 9001 certification in 1999 and received the ISO 14001 certification in 2010.
