Bodek and Rhodes Celebrates New 75th Anniversary Warehouse Addition with BuildFest
To thank its team for their patience during the construction of the new 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse addition during its 75th anniversary year, and for their daily endeavors in building the company, Bodek and Rhodes celebrated with a fun day called "BuildFest" at its Philadelphia headquarters.
The day began with all employees dressed in the celebratory bright construction gold T-shirts in the building theme, imprinted with the saying, "I dig working here," along with our 75th anniversary logo, and "Building Our Future" on the garment sleeve. When the team arrived at a giant tent adjacent to the new warehouse, they were greeted with replica yellow construction hats and a sea of yellow and black balloons surrounding a gourmet feast featuring a "build-your-own" burger, cheesesteak and sandwich bar, and "build-your-own" sundae bar for dessert.
"Having a day where everyone takes a break to relax and spend time with their peers with some delicious food was our mission today," said CEO Mike Rhodes. "But to experience the sea of happy faces all dressed in gold greeting each other so warmly - that made it even better. This event helped us officially say thanks to everyone for accommodating our detoured parking situation during construction, and for the growth they have helped us to achieve during this milestone year."
A special station at the event was a "pick your favorite background color" wall, where team members had their photographs taken for a photo mosaic wall mural that will commemorate the 75th Anniversary later in the year. The mosaic wall mural, featuring all employee photos, will hang in the lobby stairway as visitors enter the company's headquarters.
