Bodek and Rhodes Launches Custom Design Program
Philadelphia-based Bodek and Rhodes, a leading wholesaler of imprintable activewear, has announced that its virtual design studio for design-to-print artwork is now available as a special feature its customers can offer to their clients. The Apparel Design Studio was the very first system to act as both a marketing and design tool. According to Mike Rhodes, president of the company, “Now, the end-users can use this web program to create their own designs, and send those designs back to our customers who brought them to the site.”
Initially introduced as a complete virtual sample tool exclusively for Bodek and Rhodes’ customers, the Apparel Design Studio is now being offered to their clients with a spin as a unique marketing opportunity. According to Mary Ellen Nichols, director of marketing communications, the objective of the new capabilities is to help build a relationship between end-users and Bodek and Rhodes’ customers by giving them even more of a reason to revisit the customized websites.
“This is a chance for our customers to engage more with their clients in the decoration process,” said Rhodes. “Involving the end-users in the design process not only makes them feel more welcome in your business, but it also gives them a personal investment in the order.”
The web-based program allows users to create their own designs, preview them on chosen apparel, and to request a quote on decoration. The program includes a comprehensive library of ready-to-print clipart images and fonts. The new artwork can be placed on any style and color of the company’s more-than nine hundred styles as a virtual sample, or saved as a high-resolution file as print-ready art. Though this service is provided by Bodek and Rhodes, the wholesaler has no access to the client’s information or designs.
The company currently offers its customers free, personalized websites to enhance their web presence, and while the Apparel Design Studio is available to all Bodek and Rhodes customers, only those who have taken advantage of the free website can offer the studio to their clients.
