Charity Fundraisers, Goods Collection and Networking Events at 2013 SAAC Show
The Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC), the Southern California region's nonprofit association, recently announced several charity events for its 2013 SAAC Show. Auction fundraisers and goods collections will happen throughout the show, and there will also be a charity networking event on Tuesday, August 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bogart & Co., during the Promo Kitchen party at the same location.
A Kid Rock Guitar will be auctioned off at the SAAC Membership Booth (located at booth A142). All the furniture in the bar and lounge areas on the show floor will also be available for purchase. All proceeds from both will benefit the Foundation for SAAC, SAAC's charity sister company that, among other initiatives, is responsible for giving thousands of dollars in college scholarship grants to young adults every year. (In 2013 alone, over $25,000 dollars in scholarships were given.)
Unwanted promotional goods will also be collected through the duration of the show. All items are welcome, but school supplies such as pens and notepads are especially appreciated, as is children's apparel. Both decorated and undecorated goods will be accepted, and packing boxes will be provided at the donation area. Staff at the show registration and help areas will be able to direct those interested to where they can drop off their donations. The donated goods will go to the Mully Children's Family, THREADS and Kids in Need charities, three charities that help and provide material support to children, families and schools in need.

The charity networking event will be Tuesday, August 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bogart & Co., during the Promo Kitchen party at the same location. The Promo Kitchen party starts at 5:00 p.m.

About the 2013 SAAC Show
The 2013 SAAC show returns to the Long Beach Convention Center with some of the largest suppliers in the promotional products industry. In addition to two days of exhibits and engaging education, this year's SAAC has a new layout, a performance by the SAAC All Star Band of industry musicians at the show mixer and wine tasting, new show hours and special incentives for distributors attending the show both days.
