Charles River Apparel Helps Make a Difference, One Strand at a Time
"Once again, our employees stepped up to the plate to support a cause near and dear to our hearts," said Lipsett. "Not only are the hair extensions unique and fun, they will last throughout the month and reinforce Breast Cancer awareness both in and out of the office."
A long time supporter of cancer-related causes, Charles River Apparel partners with a variety of cancer support and wellness organizations across Massachusetts. The company's landmark Be Pink Proud program was created in 2008 in memory of Susan Lipsett DeVries, one of CRA's original five employees and daughter of founder Walter Lipsett. The company donates a portion of sales from all pink garments to rowing and paddling teams consisting of cancer survivors and caregivers nationwide. It is the essence of rowing-teamwork, determination and perseverance-that inspires everyone at Charles River Apparel. The company is proud to support these rowing and paddling groups throughout the year as well take part in other initiatives during breast cancer awareness month.
