Charles River Apparel Welcomes Customers for 50th Head of the Charles Regatta
Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., on Oct. 18 and 19 welcomed key distributor customers from across the United States to celebrate the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. Charles River Apparel was a premier sponsor of nonprofit rowing organization Community Rowing Inc. (CRI), providing apparel for several CRI teams, as well as the "Great Eight" men's boat, consisting of Olympic rowers.
Among the distributors invited for the event were Gerry and Debbi Barker of Barker Specialty Co., Cheshire, Conn.; Brian and Krista Klefos of Schoolbelles, Cleveland; Danielle Dostal, Natalia Ingerson and Kyle Hatton of Axis Promotions, New York; and Steven and Maria Baillargeon of Graphic Connections, Sudbury, Mass.
Guests stayed at the Renaissance Hotel at Patriot's Place, Home of the New England Patriots. At Charles River's main office, customers viewed a presentation given by the production department and enjoyed a special lunch, mingling with Charles River employees to the entertainment of a live blues band. Saturday and Sunday, customers attended the 50th anniversary of the iconic Head of the Charles Regatta as guests of Barry Lipsett, Charles River president and owner; Samantha Gotlib, vice president of sales; and Deb Lipsett, manager of community partnership.
At the regatta, customers saw Community Rowing's Row Boston team, made up of youth from the Boston Public Schools, in custom Charles River rowing unisuits. Additionally, CRI athletes that participated in Head of the Charles Para events were outfitted in high tech wicking T-shirts and warm-ups. CRI staff members working at the event sported Charles River's popular men's and women's Stealth Pullover and Jacket.
"We really enjoyed welcoming our esteemed customers and friends to our company headquarters, and to Boston to join us for a New England tradition," commented Gotlib. "It was a memorable weekend for all."
