Conway's 'Alternative Facts' Statement Gets Immortalized
After Kellyanne Conway used the phrase "alternative facts" during an interview with Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press," merchandisers have been racing to put the questionable phrase on just about anything they can.
According to TMZ, multiple people have filed documents to trademark the phrase. But, in the meantime, there's plenty of "alternative fact" merchandise floating around on the internet.
A quick search on RedBubble garnered plenty of results. They're mostly apparel, but you can also find cards, stickers, magnets and more.
Beer Advocate even has a listing for a beer from Seattle-based Cloudburst Brewing Company called the "Alternative Facts IPA."
It will be interesting to see how this micro-moment merchandising continues should someone register the trademark.
