CPSC to Hold Children's Sleepwear Flammability Seminar
The event, which will focus on testing, certification, and other compliance guidance pertaining to mandatory Flammable Fabrics Act (FFA) standards, will take place at the CPSC offices in Bethesda, Md., on Oct. 20.
In terms of specifics, CPSC will organize the agenda based on registrants' feedback. However, the seminar definitely will cover FFA standards, which mandate that all children's sleepwear must be flame-resistant and able to self-extinguish in the event of a fire. Recently, the CPSC has been cracking down on non-compliant children's sleepwear retailers, like Saro Trading Co.
Attendees for the event include CPSC staff, importers, manufacturers, legal counsel, retailers, suppliers and testing laboratories.
