Denham Receives Leadership Award
Dale T. Denham, chief information officer at Geiger, Lewiston, Maine, has been named to Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders list for 2015.
The Premier 100 program spotlights individuals who have positively impacted their organizations through technology. These are individuals who manage internal IT organizations, mentor and motivate their IT teams and business colleagues, create a positive work environment, envision innovative solutions to business challenges, and effectively manage and execute IT strategies. Leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies appear on this year's list for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges.
"As far as we have been concerned, Dale is our industry’s technology leader. This recognition formalizes it for me," said Gene Geiger, CEO at Geiger. "For us, Dale is both an IT innovator and a charismatic leader of a great team. He and that team have built the systems and tools that have made our sales partners more productive and our clients more loyal. We are in a period when technology will be an enabler and propellant of growth. Dale is assembling the elements that will ensure we will be a strong competitor for years to come."
As the leader of Geiger’s IT and e-commerce strategy, Denham, who joined Geiger in May 2011 with more than 20 years of technology and promotional industry experience, has revamped Geiger’s approach to IT by focusing on aligning it with the business unit’s needs. Most recently, Geiger IT delivered an award-winning e-commerce platform to more than 300 sales partners. E-commerce traffic, sales and leads are up exponentially over those achieved with Geiger's previous e-commerce system.
"The Premier 100 awards program showcases the innovative work of a dedicated group of IT leaders who are using technology to solve business problems in their organizations," said Scot Finnie, editor-in-chief of Computerworld. "Every day, these tech-savvy professionals are positioning their organizations for success by mapping IT projects to strategic business initiatives. They also ensure that their departments are set up to quickly enable new ideas, and they balance the need for free and open access to information with concerns about security and compliance. These 100 men and women are using their vast experience in managing people and projects to stay a step ahead. We're pleased to recognize their leadership and honor their achievements."
The Premier 100 awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of the AGENDA 15 Conference, held March 30 to April 1, 2015, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, Fla. The conference, attended by more than 300 influential business and senior IT executives, will focus on transforming business for the digital world.
