DiGiorno Introduces Merchandise Line (With Some Familiar Styles)

By 2025 we’re all going to be wearing all-over print pizza onesies and sleeping in stromboli sleeping bags with stuffed crust pillows. Seriously, these pizza brands are going all out with their merchandise, ensuring that we’re all living the pizza lifestyle.

The latest was DiGiorno, which just released a limited-edition line of apparel and accessories, joining others whose pizza and fast food merchandise skews heavily toward all-over print pajamas and comfort products.

DiGiorno’s merchandise line, which is sold exclusively on its website, has multiple all-over print jogger pants, hoodies and socks; as well as a few T-shirts that use the classic “Thank You” plastic bag font.

Beyond apparel, there are two pizza-shaped pillows, a “Pizza+Croissant” Tervis tumbler, a wall clock that tells you that “It’s always time for DiGiorno pizza,” and a branded wooden pizza cutter. (If you’re making pizza at home, you’re going to need that. Good thinking, DiGiorno.)

We’re not sure where this relationship between snack food brands and comfy clothes came from. Maybe it’s the whole “comfort food” idea? What’s more comforting than a pepperoni pizza at home?

To that extent, it’s smart and on-brand, but DiGiorno is doing a trick that others have done almost exactly. It’s sort of like how companies in Korea are trying to replicate Starbucks’ wildly popular summer giveaway. That market gets saturated, and people lose interest.

It's a great promotion, though.. There's no doubt about that. The logo is visible and the product it sells is clearly a part of it. DiGiorno fans will definitely flock to the site to buy a pillow or shirt.

The only question that, if the mail carrier drops it off, is it technically delivery?
