Disney and Custom Merch Company Provide ‘Toy Story 4’ Charity T-shirts for Irish Hospital
While box office receipts for “Toy Story 4” will make the honchos at Walt Disney Pictures Pixar Animation Studios quite happy as the summer unfolds, the movie’s overall identity stands to help ill children in Ireland feel that they are the richest people on the planet. That is because the cinematic titans have united with the Hairy Baby Clothing Company to craft a T-shirt and a tote whose proceeds will assist with the care of the youngsters.

Anyone who has followed the “Toy Story” franchise knows that the newest installment is destined to be a pull-on-the-heartstrings offering, but the plot of the film will likely not outdo the garment and the bag in terms of producing tears. According to the Limerick Post, the CMRF Crumlin sees 150,000 sick kids annually, so any bit of financial assistance for the Dublin-based institution comes across as a godsend, with Grainne Kennedy, its head of philanthropy and partnerships, noting that becoming a “charity partner for these amazing T-shirts” will do wonders for her employer’s efforts.
With respect to the apparel item and the tote, Hairy Baby and Walk Disney Studios Ireland made a great move by placing Forky, a new character in the “Toy Story” family, on the front of each. Pivotal to the storyline, the spork could very well take on iconic status among “Toy Story” fans, so his presence in the campaign marks another attempt by Disney to take branded merchandise sales to infinity and beyond. In this case, though, since every cent will go toward the hospital’s efforts to better the lives of the stricken children, these easily identifiable garments and the carry-all should offer another way to appreciate the emotion in the sentiments “You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful” from the Aliens in “Toy Story 2” and Bo Peep’s declaration, from the same film, that “You’re cute when you care.”
