Emperor Marketing Opens European Branch
Emperor Marketing, a Green Lane, Pennsylvania-based promotional products supplier specializing in USBs, has recently opened a European sales office in Nice, France, to cope with the growing demand for promotional items in Europe through PSI. Already the fourth location of Emperor Marketing worldwide, the Nice office illustrates the explosive growth of activities the company is experiencing.
Emperor Marketing's president Stephen Peters has placed French national Harrison Porte and Wouter Savelkoul from the Netherlands in charge of developing a solid platform for future development of Emperor's activities in Europe. Both Porte and Savelkoul have backgrounds in international trade with knowledge of the market and a vast network with promotional product distributors. "Having two locals from the start is a major bonus and a real must-have when entering a new market," said Wes Merson, vice president of Emperor Marketing.
Much of the original management of Emperor Marketing's American office has been moved to Shenzhen, China, but continues to develop its U.S. sales team under the guidance of Andrew Coffman. In Shenzhen, Emperor acquired an office and a co-ownership of a USB production facility to provide both American and European customers with a direct link with the factory.
"The decision to move our American staff to China was made to guarantee our customers with top-quality products," Peters said. "It is just not possible to guarantee a good product when you are not able to even look at the products because of the fact you're on the other side of the world."
Next item on Emperor's agenda will be to take its five-star status earned in the United States over to Europe. Savelkoul said, "Emperor has proven to be an excellent business partner. It is up to Harrison and me to build this kind of reputation in Europe.''
