ETS Express Earns QCA Accreditation
The Quality Certification Alliance, a nonprofit that accredits promotional product suppliers who complete a rigorous self-assessment and pass multiple third-party audits. The 26th supplier to join the QCA is ETS Express Inc., Oxnard, Calif.
ETS Express is a family-owned supplier of decorated drinkware, specializing in screen-printing and other innovative decorating methods that have been nearly perfected over its more than 25-year history. The company employs more than 300 full-time staff at its various facilities.
“As a family-run business, we’ve always taken deep pride in our creativity and quick ability to respond to clients’ needs with leading-edge drinkware products," said Sharon Eyal, CEO of ETS Express. "But, as we dramatically grew our business over the past decade, it was clear that we needed more formal processes and better controls to meet the pace of our success.”
“Attaining our QCA accreditation was a long journey but it was well worth it," added Leeton Lee, vice president of regulatory compliance and general counsel of ETS Express. "Adopting the QCA model of focusing on best practices in the key areas of product quality, product safety and compliance, social responsibility, supply-chain security and environmental stewardship has undoubtedly helped to make ETS Express a better company for the present and the future as we continue to grow.
"Corporate responsibility in these areas is not going away. If anything, it’s only going to get more complicated and the industry’s leaders simply need to adapt, and remain committed, to not only meet, but exceed, the expectations of our clients and end-buyers in order to remain vital. Having gone through the QCA process, it has helped ETS to put in place a formal program that we can grow into for the future.”
QCA was formed in 2008 to ensure product safety and the industry's longevity. It accredits suppliers based on the satisfactorily completion of a program that surveys a business' five pillars: social compliance, product safety, product quality, supply chain security and environmental impact.
“We are pleased to see ETS Express join the ranks of QCA-accredited suppliers," Jeffrey P. Jacobs, executive director of QCA, said. "As end-user clients place increasing pressure on the promotional products distributors to assure them their brands are protected from the risk of noncompliant and unsafe product, ETS Express can now point to the independent, third-party QCA accreditation to prove they have the proper protocols and processes in place to detect and deter products that could damage those brands.”
