Fanatics, Postmates Team Up to Deliver LA Rams Gear Directly to Fans Unable to Attend Game In Person
Fanatics partnered with Postmates to deliver Los Angeles Rams apparel before the team’s first Monday Night Football game this week.
According to SportBusiness, fans could select products from a curated assortment of Rams gear, including jerseys, sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats and more, and have them delivered from 10 a.m. through kickoff that night.
The @RamsNFL have opened their @Fanatics gear shop exclusively on Postmates. LA fans, while you’re watching MNF tonight, you can get new Rams gear delivered along with your burgers and sushi in the LA area. https://t.co/gQKKjRZjFj

Postmates has previously worked with others sports leagues in the U.S., but it’s especially fitting that they’re using delivery capability to bring merchandise to fans unable to actually attend the game due to the pandemic—something other companies have touched on since the outset of the pandemic.
LA’s a good market for sports merchandise, too. Fanatics owner Michael Rubin took to Twitter today to announce that the Dodgers’ World Series win led to a new record for championship merchandise sales on Fanatics:

There are plenty of delivery apps and plenty of football left to be played, so this might not be the last delivery partnership for sports apparel we see this season while we’re all away from the stadiums.
