FedEx Nascar Revs Up Bodek and Rhodes’ 70th Anniversary Celebration
To help kick off the 2009 celebration of Bodek and Rhodes’ 70th anniversary, the FedEx NASCAR stock car was showcased at the company’s Philadelphia headquarters on September 18.
President Mike Rhodes and his “pit crew” executive team, suited in orange Bodek and Rhodes and Fed Ex jumpsuits, welcomed the crowds during a barbecue lunch and ushered guests on a facility tour that included a 2009 line sneak preview.
“We are honored to launch our 70th anniversary year by having the official FedEx car make a pit stop here on its way to Dover Speedway,” announced president Mike Rhodes. “We couldn’t think of a better way to show how committed we are to be the fastest, most accurate apparel wholesaler than to partner with the leader in express transportation, FedEx.”
Guests were also treated to an interactive “How Fast Do You Want It” warehouse tour to see the company’s acclaimed barcoded tracking inventory system (that was applauded in Microsoft magazine). The tour then ended with a full 2009 sneak preview of the 217 news styles debuting in November, and a visit with the local customer-care team at Bodek and Rhodes.
“Not only are we committed to being the fastest and most accurate in our field, but we are debuting the single biggest line expansion in the history of our company, with hundreds of new styles and six new brands for 2009. We were thrilled with the customer reaction today,” added Rhodes.
