For Earth Day Leed’s Plants More Than 2,000 Trees
“Not only do we feel good about manufacturing recycled products, but our customers and end-users can also feel good choosing the products,” explained Leanne Finney, director of marketing at Leed’s. “The tree planting is yet another reason to select EcoSmart products for giveaways and promotions.”
Leed’s offers a wide range of bags, stationery and even drinkware made from recycled material. The company is also making operational strides to become more environmentally responsible, including equipping its Warren, Ohio facility with energy-efficient, movement sensor lighting that saves 80 percent energy compared with standard lighting; replacing machinery with more energy efficient models, requiring that all electric motors be high efficiency: and using 70 percent less energy with a radio frequency stamping machine over a solid state machine. In addition, all of the ink used to decorate Leed’s products is environmentally safe and the new screen washers use fewer chemicals and less water than previous models.
