GatewayCDI, a nationwide promotional products distributor and incentive company with 70 employees based in St. Louis, announced a new children's apparel initiative.
"GatewayCDI sells a lot of children's apparel to our corporate clients," said Conrad Franey, chief marketing officer for GatewayCDI. "As one example, we're currently selling children's apparel to many of our clients in support of their upcoming 'Take Your Child to Work Day' event."
"Effective January 1st 2012, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) calls for additional labeling in children's apparel," Franey continued. "By law, every item of children's apparel must now be permanently labeled and/or screen-printed with information that clearly identifies the decorator of the apparel. It must include the date of production, purchase order number and the name and contact information of the screen printer. We're working with our supplier partners to be certain we are in compliance with the law and to protect the good name of our corporate clients. Believe me, they appreciate that."
"Product safety is an issue that will not be going away in the promotional products industry," Franey concluded. "We will continue to do our best to be industry-leaders in this important initiative."
GatewayCDI provides world-class promotional product and incentive services to a client base that includes many Fortune 100 corporations.
