Gemline Announces New President, CEO and VP of Marketing

Gemline, Lawrence, Mass., announced multiple personnel moves yesterday: Frank Carpenito appointed as company president; Jonathan Isaacson promoted to chairman and CEO; and Saadia Bryant promoted to vice president of marketing, product and design.

Carpenito has been on the Gemline board since 2014, and in his new role will be responsible for handling the company's day-to-day operations. He'll also work with Isaacson to facilitate the company's growth.

Carpenito, a veteran of the promotional products industry, has held CEO and president roles over the past 20 years of his career. He most recently was the CEO of BigMouth Inc. Before that, he was the CEO and president of Gordon Brothers B2B and United Natural Foods - East. He's also held positions at big-name companies such as Procter & Gamble, Pepsi-Cola and Newell-Rubbermaid/Berol.

"I'm very pleased that Frank will be taking the role of president of Gemline, and to announce the promotion of Saadia," Isaacson said in a press release. "Frank's work as a board member allows him to hit the ground running, and his proven track record of leadership success will be invaluable to Gemline as we drive towards continued growth."

Before her promotion, Bryant has served as the director of digital marketing for Gemline since 2018. In her new position, she'll continue to work on marketing efforts, but will additionally focus on product management and design, combining all of these facets of the process into a go-to-market strategy for the company. Before she joined the supplier last year, she worked for companies such as Reebok and Crabtree & Evelyn.

"Saadia's promotion recognizes her demonstrated ability to make an impact on the business and help us continue to innovate aggressively," Isaacson added. "I am looking forward to having her drive the integration of product, design and marketing that will keep Gemline at the forefront of the industry."

In his new role as chairman and CEO, Isaacson will reportedly focus on the company's strategy, culture and brand partnerships, in addition to his presence as a "political ambassador" for Gemline. He's been with the company as president since 1994.
