Gifted Expressions Expands into Chocolate Manufacturing
Sheila Shechtman, CEO of American Gourmet Group LLC (parent company of Gifted Expressions LLC), recently announced the acquisition of Hebert Candies. Hebert Candies is a 90-year old chocolate manufacturer that creates handmade, artisan and kosher chocolates and operates from a 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Shrewsbury, Mass.
Kurt Boehringer, president of Hebert Candies, is an award-winning chocolatier who brings 25 years of confectionary experience to the company. Most recently, Boehringer spent 15 years as vice president of opperations for Chocolate Inn.
Stephen Wood, plant engineer, is the newest addition to the team. Woods brings with him over 27 years of technical and mechanical acumen in chocolatiering and rounds out a dream team in the world of chocolate.
Vinny Iacocca also joins the team as inventory and purchasing manager. Iacocca is a veteran executive chef, a graduate of Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and brings with him over 15 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing and inventory logistics and operations.
Shechtman founded Gifted Expressions in 1993 and entered the promotional products industry as a Supplier in 2009, bringing her 30 years' experience creating and selling distinctive gourmet food/spa designs to national retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as private labeling for various market sectors.
