Golfers know that losing a golf ball in the trees or brush (sometimes a lot) is an unfortunate part of the game. Luckily, an Indiegogo campaign is raising funds for a new technology that allows golfers to find their balls using an app called Chip-ing Finder Finder. When donors contribute to the campaign, they can receive chips for the Vegas Golf Game from Vegas Golf/Foxyware, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Using the proposed “Never Lost” golf ball, which has an electronic transmitter built in, a golfer can use their smartphones' Bluetooth connections to locate their lost balls on the "Chip-ing Finder" app.
The company has already developed the first prototypes, which it says fly and roll just like regular golf balls. It has also filed a worldwide patent for the technology.
According to the Indiegogo campaign, the company needs donations to build a production line and molds for large-scale production of the multilayer golf balls, certify radio technology standards with the FCC, and further develop the proposed Chip-ing Finder app.
