HALO Branded Solutions Acquires Chamberlain Marketing Group

HALO Branded Solutions, Sterling, Ill., announced today that it has acquired Chamberlain Marketing Group, Taylor, Mich.

Chamberlain Marketing Group was ranked No. 30 on Promo Marketing's Top 50 Distributor list for 2018. The acquisition comes as a result of Chamberlain Marketing Group's founder and CEO, Jerry Chamberlain, retiring.

"I am retiring from the business and searched for a partner that had the people and resources to continue to offer the best possible service for our clients," Chamberlain said in a press release. "HALO will allow us to offer more services to help our customers grow their brand. The Chamberlain team is excited about this new chapter."

In August, HALO announced that it acquired Bellevue, Washington-based distributor Sunrise Identity.

"Jerry Chamberlain and his team have built a strong and growing business, and we appreciate their trust in HALO's resources to continue their growth by enhancing their client offering," Marc Simon, CEO of HALO, said. "Our goal is to leverage the best practices of HALO and Chamberlain Marketing for the benefit of the valued clients of both organizations."

Chamberlain Marketing Group will maintain its office in Taylor, and will go to market as Chamberlain Marketing Powered by HALO. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

HALO jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 on our annual Top 50 Distributors list, and has made a number of strategic moves over the past year. In addition to several acquisitions of its own, HALO was acquired by Private Equity firm TPG Growth, completed its new headquarters, and added new talent to its management and business development teams.

Mergers and acquisitions have been numerous recently in the promotional products industry, and it's something Promo Marketing spoke with PPAI's Paul Bellantone about on a recent podcast.

While, on the surface, consolidation seems scary, there are reasons for positivity in the promotional industry, Bellantone said. For HALO, at least, there are plenty of reasons to be positive right about now.
