H&M and Netflix Combine for 'Stranger Things' Branded Apparel Collection (With Demogorgon All-Over Prints!)
Fans of “Stranger Things” have been waiting since 2017 for new episodes, and the Netflix fan-favorite has left tons of people wanting more. Thankfully, we only have to wait until July 4 to see season three, and if it’s anything like the last two, we’ll probably binge the whole thing in less than 48 hours. But, to tide us over until the release, H&M and Netflix have collaborated on a summery, “Stranger Things” branded apparel collection, releasing in stores and online on May 23.
In season two, several new characters joined the original crew, and one of them in particular, Billy Hargrove (played by Dacre Montgomery), is the center of the H&M campaign.
The retailer announced the news on its Instagram page:
Based on the promo video, and looking ahead at what’s to come this summer and for the new season, it looks like there will be new locations popping up. The H&M campaign takes place at the fictional Hawkins Community Pool, according to an article from Elle, but the pool is also featured in the promo video where cast members can be seen wearing the branded Hawkins Pool apparel. With summer quickly approaching, this is the perfect time for fans to purchase their own Hawkins Pool lifeguard bathing suit, men’s swim trunks, tank top and more.
Fans of the series know it takes place in the 1980s, and this collection with H&M includes plenty of retro (and brightly colored) bathing suits, as well as a Hawkins Pool branded visor. There’s even a printed men’s button-up shirt, a romper, a bikini and a T-shirt. As for the design, think floral, but make it Demogorgon. No, seriously. From far away it may look like a floral print, but it’s actually a bunch of Demogorgons. Spooky, but very cool.

Aside from the Demogorgons and the Hawkins Pool branded apparel, there's a ton of other stuff, like slides and a mesh baseball cap, all incorporating the "Stranger Things" logo for a more low-key look.
We've recently seen retailers like Forever 21 stepping up their licensing efforts to create branded fashion collaborations with big names like Pepsi and the U.S. Postal Service (of all places), and H&M is right there with them. This collection, with its wide variety of items and plenty of cool design flourishes, like the Demogorgons, really makes it stand out.
