Independent Forms Services, Inc. Announces Merger with Eastern Specialties Company Inc.

Independent Forms Services Inc. (IFS) of Joliet, Ill. and Eastern Specialties Company Inc. (ESCO) of Grayslake, Ill. announced a merger agreement that will combine operations underneath the IFS brand. The company will conduct business out of IFS corporate headquarters.

The agreement will allow IFS to better serve its current customers through additional product offerings, while continuing the same level of customer care that ESCO has given to its customers for decades. IFS has invested time and money into improving its customer service operations through its Web site and online ordering system. The company also has systems in place to track and report on forms and supplies usage, expanding on the level of service that customers expect.

Current management at IFS will remain unchanged. Kurt Engdahl, president of ESCO, will remain a part of day-to-day operations, sales and customer service during this time of transition. “This merger joins two service organizations with decades of combined experience serving the same industries. Our company, in conjunction with Mr. Engdahl, looks forward to providing exceptional service to its current and new customer base,” said IFS chairman Wayne Kubek.
