Jared Leto's Rock Band Is Selling a DIY Tie-Dye Merch Kit
We’ve been under various phases of safer-at-home orders for a few months now, and there’s still a surplus of quarantine trends we’re seeing, like DIY home projects, recreations of Disney theme-park dishes, and of course, tie-dye clothing. That last trend has made it to popular retail brands like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and even band merch, with Jared Leto's rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars launching a DIY tie-dye merch kit, available for pre-order.
When you think of tie-dye, you think of summer, so this merch kit came at a perfect time.
The possibilities are endless 😍

The kit includes a white "MARS" tee with two white graphics that appear after dyeing, red, yellow and blue dye colors, a pair of protective gloves, 20 rubber bands and “project ideas and dyeing instructions,” according to the store website.
It costs $40, which is semi-reasonable since band T-shirts can range anywhere from $20 to $45—or even higher— and this gives you everything you’ll need to create your own custom, one-of-a-kind “Thirty Seconds to Mars” tee.
Tie-dyeing isn’t a new trend, but it’s certainly a more consistent one we’ve been seeing, even in the promo industry. We've seen apparel supplier S&S Activewear use its social media platforms to share quick and fun ideas for old T-shirts, including tie-dyeing ideas (which can be found under S&S's Instagram story highlights.) Plus, this trend is great for a number of other promo items, like sweatshirts, shorts, totes and more.
As the year continues, this retro design is something we predict will continue on—and something we don’t see going out of style anytime soon.
