Jay-Z and Major League Baseball were hit with a lawsuit from Iconix Brand Group, because the Brooklyn-based rapper had been putting his Roc Nation logo on MLB-branded items.
You wouldn't be alone thinking, "Wait, is Jay getting sued here? Doesn't he own his own company's logo?" According to Bleacher Report, Iconix Brand Group paid $204 million for the Roc Nation logo and can control where and when it appears on merchandise, including the MLB apparel.

In addition to Jay-Z and MLB, Iconix also is suing New Era, Lids and the San Francisco Giants "for at least $10 million and other damages."
The Roc Nation caps sell at retail stores for $50, and featured 16 teams, including the Yankees, Giants, Chicago Cubs, Red Sox and Dodgers. With 16 teams in this list, it's interesting that Iconix Brand Group focused its energy on the Giants, of all teams.
