Jorg Gray to Unveil Collection at BASELWORLD 2011
Tustin, California-based Jorg Gray, an American watch brand designed to change the way we view time, announced its inaugural exhibition at BASELWORLD 2011, the world's leading watch and jewelry event. The company will showcase its collection of men's dress, casual and ladies' lines from March 24 to 31 in the Hall of Fascinations 2.0.
Known for its timeless, yet eye-catching creations, the Jorg Gray collection includes 24 series exclusively designed to offer consumers stylish, high-quality timepieces at a tremendous value with most models retailing between $350 to $995 USD.
"While the story behind the brand has already resonated with people worldwide, BASELWORLD allows us to formally introduce our timepieces to a global audience whose passion in watches matches our own," said Trevor Gnesin, president of Jorg Gray. "There is no better venue to showcase the range and value the Jorg Gray Collection offers retailers and consumers."
What started as a specialty private-label watch company quickly became a worldwide consumer brand as Jorg Gray gained international recognition when then-Senator Barack Obama began wearing the Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph, a gift he received from his Secret Service detail in 2007. Demand for this striking and sophisticated watch grew as Obama was photographed with the timepiece at numerous notable events, including his presidential election speech and historic inauguration, spurring Jorg Gray to create a Commemorative Edition 6500. Since then, the Jorg Gray Collection has expanded to include complete men's and ladies' lines as President Obama continues to sport the original JG6500. Today, Jorg Gray timepieces can be found at fine retailers throughout the United States and in major cities around the world from London to Bangkok, Mexico City to Kuala Lumpur.
The watches are meticulously crafted combining materials such as sapphire crystal, Swiss movements, and fine leather, rubber and stainless steel straps with intricate dials and casings.
