Jornik Manufacturing Completes Ownership Transition to Second Generation

Jornik Manufacturing Corp., Stamford, Conn., a family-owned and operated supplier, announced that ownership has transitioned from founders Jacquie and Peter Herz to their daughter, Jordie Freedman (president), and son-in-law Rory Freedman (treasurer and secretary).

“I have been in this industry since 1971," Peter Herz said. "It’s been a great 46 years. I’ve seen it from both sides: working for a supplier, then a distributor, then Jacquie and I started our own distributorship in 1976. After writing a software program and marketing it to other distributors, Jacquie and I started Jornik Manufacturing Corp. We’re well-known for our fun and creative products, industry-leading imprinting, exceptional personal service and our expertise in safety and compliance. After 25 years of running Jornik, we felt it was time to transfer the company to the next generation.”

Nothing has changed operationally at Jornik, so the ownership transition will not have any impact on distributors or the company’s vendors. Jacquie and Peter remain available to provide guidance whenever needed.

“Jordie has been working with us since 1999," Jacquie Herz said. "She has been living and breathing this promotional product industry her whole life. Jordie and her husband Rory are exceptionally well equipped to take what we started and make it thrive. We know they understand our original dream, and they have learned our culture through osmosis. We were their age when we started Jornik. There is no one better equipped to guide Jornik into the future. We are very excited to watch them and give them all the help we can."
