A Look at All the Awesome College Football Gift Suite Bowl Game Swag

For college football fans, it's the most wonderful time of the year: bowl game season. (Unless you're a fan of one of those teams that didn't make the playoff.) For the players, it's an even more wonderful time of the year, because they get some seriously awesome bowl game swag as part of the now-traditional gift suites.

It's a side of college athletics that a lot of people don't think about. Just for showing up, every player on a bowl game squad gets some swag—anything from gift cards to trips to video game systems. Remember that these guys are between 18 and 22. Getting a free Playstation for playing football is the dream.

So, without further ado and without further lamenting our lack of football ability that kept us from a collegiate career, let's dive into some of these gift bags.

Video game systems are common in Bowl Game gift suites. Obviously, the Playstation Fiesta Bowl players (LSU and UCF) will receive a console and games, but they'll also receive an engraved Fossil watch and Ogio backpack.

There are a few items that we've seen at promotional trade shows like those backpacks and watches. Fossil is also contributing watches to the Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl. Players in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl receive a Bulova watch.

Bluetooth speakers are one of the most popular promotional items on the market right now. Players in the New Mexico Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Cheez-It Bowl and Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl all will receive Bluetooth speakers.

Plenty of Bowl Games, like the Jared Birmingham Bowl and TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, are giving out promotional sunglasses from companies like Oakley and Maui Jim.

Another name really stands out to us while we're perusing the list: Yeti. Yes, this is the same Yeti that's been so proprietary to the point of litigious about its design elements. Players in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl get a Yeti Rambler bottle, and players in the Cheez-It Bowl will receive a Yeti Roadie 20 cooler and Rambler.

And, of course, what is a football gift set without something actually football-related. Plenty of the bowl games, like the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl DXL Frisco Bowl, will give out commemorative footballs or mini footballs to players, so they'll always remember the big game.

Other stand-out items include an RFID-blocking wallet courtesy of the Servpro First Responder Bowl, a very tropical gift suite (including aloha shirt, swim trunks and beach towel) courtesy of the SoFi Hawai'i Bowl, a Montgomery pen from the New Mexico Bowl, and Amazon Echo items from various bowl games.
