National Awards Inc.'s Lisa Greer Discusses a Client's Anniversary Promos
Celebrating a business’ anniversary is certainly a time for celebration. Especially when a business has been around for four decades. Lisa Greer, director of sales for National Awards Inc., Jackson, Miss., remembers one particular instance where her company helped a customer kick its birthday celebration up a notch thanks to some great anniversary promos.
Promo Marketing: Can you tell us about a promotion you think of as one of your best?
Lisa Greer: In working with a local bank on their 40th anniversary celebration, we were able to provide a fun, party-like atmosphere using imprinted table throws, balloons, napkins and cups. In addition, gifts including custom insulated tumblers, imprinted golf umbrellas and custom commemorative coins were given to those in attendance. The event was well attended, and all who were involved appreciated the gifts that reflected the bank’s logo and celebration of the anniversary occasion.
PM: What did you like about this promotion in particular?
LG: There were multiple items that covered different areas related to the event.
PM: Did you run into any roadblocks with this promotion? If so, how did you overcome them?
LG: Not really! Budget can sometimes be a restraint, but in this case everything went really well.
PM: What advice would you give distributors looking to do something similar with anniversary promos?
LG: Plan in advance, know your customer’s anniversary dates and start planting the seed early.
