Navitor Announces Grand Opening of New Hawaii Location
Navitor, North Mankato, Minn., announced the opening of its Kapolei, Hawaii, facility. The new facility furthers Navitor’s plan to support island manufacturing while providing supplemental mainland add-ons to round out its print offering.
“We’re very pleased to announce the opening of our new location in Kapolei, Hawaii,” said Rick Roddis, president of Navitor. “This investment emphasizes Navitor’s ongoing commitment to support our Hawaiian distributor partners and their local interests.”
Hawaii News Now reports that the state is forecast to welcome 5.5 million visitors in 2021, a 102.9% increase from 2020. As the economy bounces back, Navitor has restructured the facility to better the reseller market, including investments in new equipment. The new Kapolei facility enables Navitor’s partners to provide their customers with products necessary to reopen.
“Products are sought after as tourism has started to rebuild, yet buying in large quantities can be risky,” Roddis said. “We’ve seen customers get burned by holding too much inventory, so we knew short runs would allow customers to take on more opportunities in the fluctuating circumstances. We’ve always supported resellers on the island, but provides economical, short runs so local businesses avoid getting burned with unused inventory.”
Instead of waiting for full economic recovery, the new facility addresses the need to support the distribution of product and mitigate expenses immediately.
“As businesses pivot in order to recover quickly, time is of the essence,” Roddis continued. “That’s why we equipped our new facility to respond quickly to rush orders [and] produce a variety of print products fast, and local manufacturing lessens the impact of shipping.”
