New Global Promotional Product Organization Formed, IGC Global Promotions
Multinational organizations can now have their international logo merchandise needs met worldwide through IGC Global Promotions NV (IGC), a single source international promotional product company.
IGC owners include North American promotional products companies Axis Promotions, New York, N.Y.; Shumsky Enterprises, Dayton, Ohio; Siegel's Corporate Gifts, Watchung, N.J.; Target Marketing, Richmond, Va.; AMR Marketing, Montreal, Canada; and The Promotional Specialists, Toronto, Canada, along with their counterparts from Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.
Utilizing multiple resources for brand consistency and regional appropriateness is complex. IGC delivers an efficient, coordinated purchasing process for global businesses ordering branded merchandise for their inter-continental divisions. By contracting with one worldwide partner, these corporations will realize purchasing efficiencies, reduce brand risks, and enjoy local service and representation for cultural preferences and regional marketing requirements, including appropriate languages and currencies.
"The new cooperative, ratified at the IGC Global Promotions annual meeting in China May 1, 2011, delivers promotional product sales, service, and product distribution with local personalization and representation," said Hans Poulis, CEO of IGC Global Promotions. "This strategy provides global corporations an effective international promotional marketing solution. These carefully selected, best-in-class promotional products companies will manage all aspects of global contracts in their respective countries."
Through knowledge of codes of conduct and local regulations and by working with controlled factories, IGC restricts the possibility of purchasing potentially unsafe, environmentally damaging or child-labor promotional products. IGC members provide the expertise, relationships, supply chain transparency, testing protocol, and delivery solutions required to properly mitigate product safety and compliance risks. "With IGC, multinational companies now have the opportunity for extensive control and monitoring of the supply chain regarding their marketing buying processes. Until now, no other single organization could offer this service level," said Poulis.
IGC Global Promotions, formerly functioning as the International Advertising Gift Council, has been active since 1956 as a consortium to consolidate and leverage purchasing, to service clients collectively on a global basis, and to share creative ideas and best practices.
The new cooperative is founded by 50 companies from 47 countries; all companies have equal ownership. The cooperative is the sole shareholder of IGC Global Promotions NV, with its headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The shareholders adhere to strict processes and key performance indicators that are critical to correctly serving global clients.
The promotional products industry has worldwide sales of approximately $55 billion. The combined revenue of the IGC Global member companies is currently U.S. $ 840 million and is expected to increase within three years to more than $1 billion.
