Norwood & BIC Graphic North America Announce Closure of Wisconsin Facility
Clearwater, Florida-based Norwood & BIC Graphic North America announced today a plan for the consolidation of their Janesville, Wis. operation (Jaffa branded products) into the Red Wing, Minn. facility.
After a strategic analysis of the Janesville operation, it was determined that moving their capabilities into Red Wing would improve both the customer experience and streamline operational capabilities. The move is expected to be completed by the end of April 2011.
“Jaffa is a valued brand for Norwood with a long history of superior product quality and service,” said Quenten Wentworth, vice president and general manager for Norwood & BIC Graphic North America. “The awards and recognition category will still be an important part of our 2011 product selection and beyond. Our intention is to make the transition as seamless as possible for our customers.”
The Janesville site currently employs 75 associates. First consideration and relocation assistance will be given to associates for open positions across the Norwood and BIC Graphic organization. The company is dedicated to providing job search support and severance to those employees not remaining with the company.
“Our goal continues to be the most cost-efficient and customer-focused organization in the industry,” said BIC APP chief executive officer Nicolas Paillot. “The decision to close the Janesville site has not been easy and it is not a reflection on the dedication or performance of our employees. We are very grateful for their many years of service.”
