Norwood Launches Searchable Safety Report Library

Indianapolis-based Norwood Promotional Products announces the launch of Safety Search, Norwood’s exclusive online repository of product safety test reports for more than 2,000 Norwood products. These reports are available for download on the distributor portion of its Web site, www.norwood.com.

“Product safety is the biggest issue we face as an industry,” said Paul M. Lage, MAS, CEO and president of Norwood. “At Norwood, we have made product safety our number-one priority and are in the process of testing every imprint ink and product we sell. These reports provide promotional products distributors with the information and peace of mind they need to sell our products and to grow their businesses.”

Safety Search is the industry’s first online resource for product safety test reporting. Norwood has tested nearly half of its approximately 4,300 items for (at a minimum) lead and Prop 65 compliance. In many instances, other applicable safety tests are being performed.

Norwood continues to test its remaining products and ink lines and will make these reports available as they are completed. “We are very excited to be launching this program,” said Jim Simone, CAS, chief marketing officer of Norwood. “Product safety is on everyone’s mind. There is a lot of concern and confusion in the industry, and we want to eliminate those issues for our distributors. With this tool our distributors can review test reports quickly and easily, saving them time and making it easier to sell our products.”

Many test reports are already loaded and the remainder will be loaded during July and August. Norwood uses only the most distinguished independent certified testing labs in the world.
