Pacific Coast Golf Begins Operations
Industry veterans Hugh and Mark Hobbs announced the launch of the new Los Angeles-based Pacific Coast Golf (PCG). The company, founded by the father and son team, is a full-service promotional golf supplier. “It is interesting how timing always remains the essential key when it comes to capitalizing on opportunities,” said Mark Hobbs, president and CEO. “My father and I briefly met for lunch during the 2009 PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, analyzed the potential for creating a West Coast golf supplier company, made a few calls to our close friends who manufacture golf products and within two weeks PCG was officially incorporated,” continued Hobbs. “It is truly my honor to have the opportunity to work with him once again,” he added.
The company reports PCG is the first promotional golf supplier located on the West Coast that is authorized to sell all major brands of golf balls and branded accessories. The company's current brands include Titleist, Pinnacle, Cobra, FootJoy, Wilson, Callaway, Top-Flite, Nike, Bridgestone and Precept.
While headquartered in Southern California, PCG will also have a centralized sales office located in Nashville, Tennessee. “We felt that ... a balanced operational model, along with multiple distribution points, will offer us the flexibility needed to provide our customers with the best possible service regardless of their geographical location,” said Hobbs.
