Paul Bellantone, CAE, president and CEO of Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, the world’s largest nonprofit association serving more than 11,000 corporate members of the promotional products industry, has been elected to the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE) Board of Directors. Bellantone is one of five new board members who will begin a three-year term when the full board of directors is recognized on Sept. 29, 2015 at the TSAE New Ideas Annual Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Bellantone became PPAI’s president and CEO in 2011, and since then, association revenues have grown, membership has increased by 23 percent, and professional development event attendance and revenues have grown by 32 and 31 percent respectively.
"We are delighted to have Paul join the TSAE board," Beth Brooks, CAE, president and CEO of TSAE, said. "His skill set is vast, and I know that his contributions will be of great benefit to TSAE and to our continued growth."
“I look forward to working side by side with my professional colleagues and the TSAE staff to help grow and advocate for the association management profession,” said Bellantone. “I especially appreciate the support of PPAI’s board and team members, affording me the time and resources to contribute to TSAE and enhance our professional community.”
The TSAE board is comprised of 19 members and meets quarterly. The board consists of the chairman, chair-elect and past chairman, as well as 11 elected members from the association executive member category, four elected members from the affiliate member category and the president of TSAE.
Texas is home to more than 1,850 associations, comprised of more than 18 million members and a workforce of 21,030 individuals, generating more than $5.8 billion in revenue, according to a CliftonLarsonAllen LLP economic impact study conducted for the TSAE. Texas associations contribute more than $5.4 billion to the economy each year.
