In October, Penn Emblem Company, Philadelphia, Pa., encouraged their employees to dress down any day of the week and make a donation toward breast cancer research. Through this fundraiser, Penn Emblem has raised $2,610.00 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
October was breast cancer awareness month, and Penn Emblem Company used this opportunity to support a worthy cause. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in 2014. Breast cancer is one of the highest leading causes of death in women compared to lung cancer. The company did this to support employees’ mothers, sisters, daughters and everyone else affected by this disease in their fight.
