Performance Awards Center (PAC), a Carrollton, Texas-based distributor, forged an agreement with New Zealand-based Heyrex to distribute its Torus pet bowl in the U.S. Launched in March, the self-dispensing water bowl previously was only available in the U.S. via Amazon.com.
Torus provides both dogs and cats with clean, fresh, carbon-filtered water any time a pet is thirsty. Torus is BPA-free, comes with a 12-month warranty and doesn't require batteries or any other power source.
"We're so pleased by the positive response that Torus has received from consumers, the media and distributors in such a short amount of time," said Kim Goldsworthy, general manager of sales and marketing for Heyrex. "We believe Torus' success is due to its innovation and unique selling points. Unlike any other bowl on the market, it solves customer pain points, like constant refilling, cleanliness, spills, durability and portability. Stores and distributors appreciate [the] product's 12-month warranty and separate filter supply, which creates annuity revenue."
Torus (Latin for "hollow circular ring") stores water inside its walls to ensure an ample and automatically replenishing and self-dispensing supply—protected against dust and contaminates. When the valve position is set to "lock," the water is secured inside the walls for transportation.
"We are excited to work with Heyrex and represent its distribution and marketing needs in the United States," said Vince Palasota, owner of PAC. "PAC looks for truly innovative products to support within the pet industry, and the Torus water bowl has features and benefits that haven't been considered until now. We look forward to additional offerings from Heyrex."
