PM’S ECATALOGEXPRESS.COM OFFERS SUPPLIERS BIG SAVINGS WITH POSTAGE HIKE
Promotional Marketing’s eCatalogExpress.com service proves to be even more beneficial as the Postal Regulatory Commission announced increased prices for mailings and catalogs, which became effective May 14. While traditional catalog mailers suffer increased costs of up to 40 percent, suppliers and distributors who utilize eCatalogExpress.com will bypass the postage hike through the service, which alleviates print, postage and fulfillment costs.
The new rates recommended by the regulatory commission have given rise to concern, especially those changes for a small, but significant, minority of catalogs, which would increase by as much as 41 percent, according to the United States Postal Service. Even with a request from the post office to the regulatory commission to reconsider this steep increase, it still went into effect this month.
Promotional Marketing publisher Matthew Barnes explained the service's purpose: “We developed eCatalogExpress.com to improve distributors’ and suppliers’ catalog fulfillment while reducing their costs. With the postage changes, we are pleased to offer an even greater cost benefit to the industry.”
eCatalogExpress.com is part of the Promotional Marketing Publishing Group that includes Promotional Marketing magazine, PM End-Buyer Catalogs, PMDM.com as well as other online products.
