Irving, Texas-based Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) will join fellow Organizing Committee members at Advertising Week 2010, Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 in New York. The multi-billion dollar promotional products industry will be represented along with 30 other organizations, including the American Marketing Association, the American Advertising Federation, the American Association of Advertising Agencies and the Advertising Council.
“As the international trade association for the promotional products industry, it is both our privilege and our responsibility to take a leadership role and serve on the Organizing Committee for this great event,” said Steve Slagle, CAE, PPAI president and CEO. “Promotional products are an essential element in the advertising mix, and our involvement with this annual event gives us a platform to proclaim what we know to be true—promotional products work.”
Advertising Week is North America’s largest and most prestigious annual gathering of advertising industry giants that recognizes and celebrates the economic and social impact of advertising with a five-day series of events, seminars and galas. Last year, the event attracted more than 60,000 participants from all over the world.
This year, Doreen Sullivan, president of full-service creative marketing agency, Post No Bills Inc., will present a session titled, “The Perfect Pitch—Open The Door To Bigger, Better Business” on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Goodson Theatre at the Paley Center for Media. An expert on assembling winning pitches, Sullivan will share true-life adventure stories and I-wish-I'd-thought-of-that examples from her agency's 23 years of working with clients like Disney, Dreamworks, ESPN and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
With experience in branding, promotional products advertising and overall campaign development, Sullivan’s work has also earned her such prestigious awards as the ADDY Award from the American Advertising Federation and the Key Art Award from the Hollywood Reporter, a top award for creative marketing in the movie industry.
