3 Ideas for Health and Fitness Promotions

We’re already a few days into 2022, but it’s never too late to start thinking about New Year’s resolutions. For many people, the new year brings an opportunity to work toward their fitness goals. “Fitness” does not have to mean working out like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in his Iron Paradise. It can be as simple as refilling a water bottle throughout the day (and actually hydrating), or maybe using a fitness band while binge watching “Succession.”

Brandon Brown, vice president of marketing at SnugZ USA, West Jordan, Utah, said that certain drinkware products have been hot sellers within the fitness segment, especially at the beginning of the year when people are looking for a healthy fresh start.

“What immediately comes to mind is drinkware within our Thermos line,” he said. “We’ve got a couple hydration bottles that are really just kind of geared toward focusing on that first-of-the-year, New Year’s resolution to drink more water, fitness-oriented goals.”

“A lot of companies are challenging their employee base to be healthy and drink more water,” Brown said. “This is a great product for that open enrollment time period to get people excited about fitness in general or their overall health. And then, yeah, it kind of segues right into that New Year’s resolution to be more healthy this year.”

Once they get that water bottle, end-users might hold onto it for years. People become extremely attached to their water bottles.

“It’s funny how people get latched onto the one of their choice,” Brown said. “People have their favorites.”

2. Beyond the Workout

As we said earlier, fitness and health aren’t limited to the gym. Maybe your New Year’s resolution is to make more regular trips to the dentist (and try to receive better news when you get there).
