QCA Relaunches Website with In-depth Content, Accreditation Information
The Quality Certification Alliance (QCA), the promotional product industry's only independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping companies provide safe products, has relaunched its website, www.qcalliance.org.
In addition to a modern graphic design, the new site has dramatically expanded content to address the needs of multiple audiences, from compliance officers and procurement managers to marketing directors and sales executives. The site also helps Fortune 1000 companies better understand the promotional products industry's supply chains and where they can find distributors who use QCA Accredited suppliers. As a result, the organization can better provide not only solutions to the needs of these audiences but also much needed context for the industry.
"We realize that our site addresses both potential new applicants as well as compliance experts who are looking for process and scope details for the QCA Certification Program, and we needed to expand our content to better address their questions as well as those coming from supportive distributors and their Fortune 1000 clients," said Brent Stone, QCA executive director - operations. "Additionally, we wanted to better articulate the wide range of support that continues to grow for QCA and why many of our industry's most influential thought leaders feel this is one of the most significant industry efforts in decades."
The site contains a comprehensive "About" section that includes information about the organization's purpose and founding as well as lists of QCA Accredited companies and QCA New Applicants. The QCA Accreditation section details the scope of the QCA Certification Program (product safety, product quality, supply chain security, social accountability and environmental stewardship) as well as how the process works and the benefits received. A robust FAQ section offers essentials on compliance, the QCA News section has a complete history of press releases to chronicle the organization's milestones and the Resources section contains all QCA Newsletters published to date.
One of the highlights of the site is the blog, which allows QCA to help industry practitioners stay on top of the issues in the rapidly evolving compliance environment. Initial topics addressed include product safety, indemnification, industry standards, and supply chain transparency and control.
"The vast majority of the information and education published in our industry regarding product safety and compliance is focused on what the state or federal requirements (for example: The 100 PPM lead levels)," Stone said. "However, we find that many companies also need help understanding why they should have compliance as part of their go-to-market business strategy. Rather than focusing exclusively on the science of compliance, our goal is to develop ongoing, rich content to help companies that are paying attention to compliance better understand the application of compliance and why they should be building compliance solutions as a part of their overall business plan."
